Our multidisciplinary team consists of experts in the field of eating disorders, each bringing their unique expertise and experience. Our team members are:
Licensed Therapists: Providing individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and family-based therapy.

Edigna Kusi Appiah

Nurse Practitioner (Chief Medical Officer)

Edigna Kusi Appiah is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with extensive expertise in Pediatric Medicine, providing specialized care to patients from birth through age 18.

With a commitment to holistic, family-centered care, she tailors treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient and actively collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Edigna brings 14 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, complemented by 18 years as a Registered Nurse in Intensive Care. She is also a Nursing educator at the University, where she shares her knowledge and skills with future healthcare professionals. Her areas of clinical expertise include pediatric mental health, managing conditions such as ADHD, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, and more.

Dr. Ahmed Boachie

Chief of Psychiatry (Director of Care)

Dr. Ahmed Boachie is a renowned expert in Eating Disorders and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades.

Dr. Boachie's academic and clinical experience includes serving as Acting Director of the Eating Disorder Program at Southlake Regional Health Centre (2002-2003) and Director of the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Program (2003-2013). He was also a Consultant at The Hospital for Sick Kids' Eating Disorder Day Program (2002-2017) and held academic appointments as Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto (2005-2017) and Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University (2009-2014).

Currently, Dr. Boachie serves as Medical Director of the Young Adult Eating Disorder Program and Child and Adolescent Mental Health at Southlake Regional Health Centre, positions he has held since 2012 and 2013, respectively.
